The Myth of Moving On

This spring, we’re taking a moment to PAUSE and honor that we all grieve at our own pace

Grief doesn’t follow a timeline and neither should your healing. This season, we’re addressing the importance of having space to grieve at your own pace. Using ritual, reflection, and resourcing. We want to create spaces to honor and reflect on the 5-year anniversary of so many COVID-19-related deaths; almost 6 months from the LA fires; and whatever event in your life you’ve been grieving.

Below ~ watch the recordings from our “The Myth of Moving On” webinar, access resources that we’re sharing with community, and donate to ensure that our team at PAUSE can continue this work.

As a thank you for being part of our community of donors, you’ll receive a very special “Ritual, Reflection, and Resourcing” ebook titled “The Myth of Moving On” (published by PAUSE!), which honors grieving at your own pace.

“I just realized this is one of the few spaces I've WANTED to share my mom's name. In my spiritual path names are sacred. This space is that!”

Resources to support you in your grief

Looking for things to read, watch, listen to, or engage with ~ to support you or someone in your community? We’ve collected a special list of BIPOC-authored, owned, and serving resources touching on how to find care and support through grief and end-of-life.

Support PAUSE and the amazing humans that we serve.

Here are a few ways your donation will impact our work:

$25: Contributions at this level help us expand and travel with our growing Book Nook ~ which directly invests in POC authors expressing their stories about lived experiences with grief and end-of-life.

$2,500: Contributions at this level fund “Creative Mourning” ~ including remuneration for facilitators, art supplies for grieving participants, and nourishment for all attendees.

$25,000: Contributions at this level covers almost an entire quarter of operational expenses at PAUSE. This keeps our doors open to grievers, supports our POC-led, LGBTQ*-led, woman/nonbinary-led team, and it sustains our growing impact.

$250,000: In the midst of an undeniable crisis we’re holding true to hope and optimism. Contributions at this level of commitment fund an entire year at PAUSE ~ do you know anyone who could make this type of investment in our mission? We’d love to get to know them too!
